Japan in August

Sempai Conway (see instructor’s page) tells us he’s determined to enter the World Senior Men’s Tournament in Tokyo in August 2009. In 2005 Conway won the heavyweights over 40yrs division so I suspect he has designs on bringing home another title!

This year the tournament coincides with the World Weight Category Tournament which Conway and Chris tell me is even better viewing than the World Open!  I believe the Women’s World Tournament and the Junior World Tournament will also be held at the same time.  I can’t see the Gowers going to Japan this year somehow but we encourage all students to go at least once so, if this year works for you, talk to Conway!
