Big weekend!

Congrats Thelvin & Josh for winning their divisions in Te Awamutu yesterday.  Thelvin had four fights to win and somehow 3 of those were against fresh opponents so with several extensions it was a massive effort!  He’s walking okay today too!  Well done to Richard, Zeke & Gareth for being in.  Not their day but never mind, there’s as much if not more to be gained from a loss so it was worth the trip…. and worth shooting back down to Wanganui just in time to see Jamie’s rematch against Richard Hood.

Jamie took three convincing rounds against the old war horse and scored another trophy for the collection.  Awesome!  I didn’t make it to Te Awamutu but the Wanganui event was most impressive and a good reminder what fun a road trip with the team is (I’d like to remind those present that ‘away rules’ apply to anything I said under the influence)!   The NZ Nationals are in Hamilton last weekend in May so shoulder tap Chris or Sempai Alan Struthers (Rob & Josh’s dad) if you want to fight or come along as a supporter.  Alan is kindly organising accommodation so lets make it easy for him by planning early!  We’ll car pool again.
