Young Community Leaders Awards 2009

We are delighted to announce Sempai Jamie has been selected as a finalist for the Community Trust of Wellington Young Leaders Awards for the work he does at the Mt Vic Dojo. 

He’s been invited to join the other finalists for a day hosted by the Community Trust discussing leadership and their roles in the voluntary sector, and to listen to presentations by well-known leaders within the community.

The Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, will be announcing the winners at a cocktail reception on 12th May and presenting the $1,000 awards.

What a great experience and well deserved!  We have many wonderful people who volunteer their time and energy at Mt Vic Dojo.  It’s fantastic to have this opportunity to see one recognised outside the dojo.
