Saving the world
Sempai Robin Hammond is one of a handful of kiwis to make top 32 at the World Tournament. By the third day of the 1999 tournament he couldn’t actually bend his right leg but he dragged it up the stairs to the raised mat and worked out a method of dropping his hurt leg behind him so he could participate (with distinction) in the board breaking. Then he went a full three minutes with a very famous Japanese fighter earning the respect of everyone in the stadium and proving he’s not daunted by a fight!
10 years on he’s still at it! Check out how he’s taken on Gap, Levis and the Royal Mint… all in one day!
